Founded in 2006 by Brian Emerick using licensed intellectual property from the Purdue Research Foundation, Nanovis has become the leading innovator in nanotechnology-driven surface solutions for implantable medical devices.
Our vision is simple: advance technologies that improve patient lives. We focus on developing and producing surface technologies that enhance biological integration, and we partner with OEMs to bring better-performing implants to the surgeons and patients they serve.
Nanovis’ research and development team operates from The Research Triangle on the campus of North Carolina State University, while our manufacturing operations and leadership are based in Northeast Indiana.
This dual-location model combines academic research strength with scalable manufacturing and commercialization capabilities, allowing us to accelerate innovation from early-stage science to real-world clinical use.
